Recovery

After a long trip and a couple of beers we slept very well.  Hamish and Toby realise we're here for a while and have decided to become friends, they are beautiful boys, very happy and active.  Frank made us bacon and eggs for breakfast, he has placed the bar pretty high and we don't expect it to be lowered!  We have Czech phones for our travels, they are the old style but are essential if we don't want to pay high charges to Telstra.  We can still use wifi everywhere so all our web based communication is through our Aussie phones  It's very complicated but I'm sure we can manage without us having to sell the house when we get home to pay the phone bill.
We've also been told the countries we are traveling through are definitely NOT Eastern Europe, they'll get insulted if we link them to those countries closer to Russia.  So now we are driving through CENTRAL Europe.
Leaving Dubai - not a blade of grass to be seen, just sand and concrete.

Lots of haze over Iran, rugged mountainous country with dry river beds and an occasional village, looks very inhospitable.  We flew from Dubai over Iraq between Iran and Ukraine (for obvious reasons), then over Turkey.

View from Frank and Belindas veranda

Back veranda, they have a gas bar-b-q - they had to get a permit to buy the gas bottle due to the terrorism issues.
